While basic memberships offer the chat feature, only those with Gold accounts can start a chat session or email conversations, see who has viewed their profile, view the newest members and other premium options.

You can create a Circle of Friends with other users as well as read the daily tall news or write about their day in their blog. There is a forum section but it is not very active.

Is it Worth It?

TallFriends has a fairly standard layout and format. Despite its "me too" feel it is one of the more unique dating and friendship communities on the web. While members are located worldwide, users can locate others within 100 miles of their own location. Advanced features allow you to initiate email, view last log in time and provide more space for photo uploading.

It's a pity the site doesn't have a bigger pool of members because it does make it difficult to find active people who'll respond to you. The same company runs an alternative site called LargeFriends and that one is far more active.

As an alternative many bigger sites like eHarmony and Match.com now let you set your lower height limit so you'll only be shown tall men or women if that's what you're looking for.
