I think that this site is for some people, but for the majority of us who are actually out there looking to find a long term, serious and genuine relationship, P.O.F mainly offers us a cluster of headaches on a silver platter. I am happy to see that there are people out there who do meet their matches on P.O.F, but it really takes a whole lot of determination, and a haystack full of luck.

P.O.F is known to delete a lot of accounts, not due to lack of inactivity, but due to the fact that they don't like something you have put onto your profile, or they believe that you are misrepresenting yourself. I found that their customer service was blunt and not all that friendly in terms of being helpful.

Furthermore, since it is a majority free website, the community of people that you find on here is absolutely atrocious. I would say that 75% of the community are people who are mainly looking for hook ups, one night stands, and casual sex. Dating is not all about the sex people; it is about finding someone who you want to date, want to stick by, and want to share life with. The whole point of dating is to get to know someone mentally, socially and emotionally... not just physically!

Yes attraction is important, but I found that P.O.F just wasn't for me as the community did it in for me. I do not enjoy getting messages from people who are clearly older than I am, not in my age bracket, and are looking for sex. I prefer a community that takes time to read through your profile and actually get to know you.

P.O.F does have a lot of features, which is wonderful and it has worked for some. However, being a free site, I guess you get what you pay for... right? With this one... I wouldn't bother even going for the free opportunities.
