MuslimFriends is where people of that faith can look either for friendship or romance. It's both functional and easy to use. Guest members are able to search and send ice-breakers. If you want to fully participate you will need a Gold membership. This unlocks messaging and more advanced matching.
The Community
The first thing you'll notice about MuslimFriends is that it's a small community. Searches in my location revealed only a few potential matches, most of whom had fairly sparse profiles and didn't display any photos.
To join you just provide an email address on the create account form and add some basic information about yourself and what type of relationship you want.

You'll start off as a Standard member and this grants you a reasonable amount of access to try things out. You can respond to messages if a paid member contacts you first.
You can't initiate contact. And you can't see when other people were last active on the site. This information is only available after you upgrade to Gold membership.
Nor will you be able to perform detailed searches. The quick search is free, as is the ability to search on basic criteria like age, gender and their general region.
Finding people by distance from you, their appearance, whether or not they have a photo and most other useful criteria are locked until you upgrade.
Profiles
Along with all of the descriptive info and physical characteristics, you can add a great deal more flair to your profile. You can add private photos, for which others will need to request your permission to view.

The Q&A part of your profile let's you answer a few scripted questions and this will appear on your page for others to see. This can give others a better insight into your lifestyle and the type of person you are. It's also a great way to strike up a conversation.
Uploading a photo is optional but it is best to have at least one to add some credibility. Profiles with no pictures appear low down in searches. That means they get far fewer responses. Neither will you be able to send Winks unless you upgrade to full membership.
Moderation, Public Comments
Members can also post public comments on each other's profiles. All postings are subject to moderation by the receiver of the comment, but as long as things aren't abusive or derogatory, anything goes. But you can always delete anything you don't like.
In addition there are forums and chat, a daily news column as well as blogs. Though keep in mind that activity in these sections does depend on the users themselves.
In Brief
MuslimFriends.com is niche dating site that welcomes all individuals of every religious background, Muslim or not. It has a functional and pleasant appearance with tools and features that will help individuals of this faith in their search for a marital spouse.
The services on the site are not specifically geared towards Muslims. The main drawback is that the community is too small.
