Fiance.com is a website that brings together girls from Eastern Europe and men from wealthier nations. Men can create a profile for free but must purchase a membership package before they can communicate with women on the site.
For men visiting the site, they can communicate with women only once they purchase membership. The website contains a few thousand female profiles that can be browsed by age and popularity (miss wow) using the quick menu links.
Lady's Profiles, and Searching
You can do a detailed search, where it's possible to set additional preference filters including physical appearance, lifestyle, location, and English fluency among others. You can also view profiles with videos.
Female profiles are mostly detailed and descriptive and contain useful information. They also state whether the woman is independent or if she must be corresponded-with via a marriage agency.
Most profiles have several pictures attached and some have video (there is an additional cost for viewing or sending video clips).
The Men
Men can join the site for free, and optionally upload photos and videos that will be displayed in the "gentlemen's catalogue". All new profiles must be approved by the site's moderator before they appear online. Men can opt to send a letter to their chosen lady by clicking the link in her profile. Those in doubt whether the lady actually exists or not can request a video reply.
Fiance.com operates slightly differently to other sites of its kind in that men can purchase a membership package and are then permitted to communicate openly with women on the site.
Fees
There's no additional cost as long as the woman is independent (she's not being represented by a marriage agency) and has email access. There may be additional costs if the lady is represented by an agency.
Fiance.com declares that it does not edit or moderate letters in any way. Other services such as interpreters, translations, ordering flowers and gifts must be paid for separately.
