I have been a member off and on of Eharmony for seven years and after June 2014 my use of that site will end and I will never even consider returning. No we have all heard their hype, but in reality this is just another dating site. No there are what appear to be a lot of relevant questions designed to help you find your perfect match and indeed you will get a lot of what appear to be good matches on the surface but once you look deeper, its not so different from any other dating site.

The site has improved over the years, you used to be able to tell a match "I don't want to date you because you are too ugly" , which is what a few Eharmony woman have told me. Utter rudeness. I have never been on ANY dating site where someone has told me that. It seems the caliber of women on Eharmony is very very low. In 7 years I have only found 5 "scammers", unlike other dating sites where most of the women are just looking to scam you out of money.

Eharmony DOES NOT screen its members at all. I was surprise to find even one scammer on Eharmony though. Now the response rate for Eharmony is far far lower than any other dating site I have ever been on. One reason is they keep EVERYONE in their database. So a woman who joined once on a free weekend 10 years ago and hasn't returned is still in the database. I am wondering if any of the women I have send request for information are inactive, receive too many response to check the "not interested" box. or too rude ot click that box, or even a false ad.

I have no idea of the ratio of men to women on this site. Most dating sites have at least 100 men for every woman and Eharmony seems to be that or better. If you are a man looking for a wife, forget Eharmony its not the site for you. The site IS relative easy to use, matches are somewhat better than most but not as great as the Eharmony hype will lead you to believe. Eharmony is one of the more expensive sites out there and unlike most things, you DO NOT get what you pay for.

Unless you subscribe to Eharmony when they have the %5.95/month special rate, you are paying WAY too much. If you paid more, you are being ripped off. In summary; Avoid this site, all the marketing hype is just that. Eharmony is one of the WORST dating sites I have been a member of in over a decade
