DoULike.com is a fresh new dating website that's open to all ages. They don't target a specific age range or location. It's free for women, but men have to pay for most services.
Their lack of focus can be a plus or a minus depending on your goals. You'll find everyone from 20 somethings to retirees looking for a bit of fun.
You can use the service through an iPhone or Android app or if you're old school through their website.
The signup on the website can be quite little tricky. They offer several login options including connecting through a social media account or just regular email.
Unfortunately the procedure isn't very user friendly. Regular email seems to be the easiest but it took me a couple of attempts before actually getting authorized and able to get things working.
Once you give them your location it will start showing people who match your basic preference, like sex, age and who're within a reasonable distance of your set location.
On the phone app there's a simple "swipe to like" feature that is quite easy to get the hang of. Just slide one way to like and the other to dismiss. Most people are comfortable with this way of searching nowadays.
If someone you like also likes you, you will be matched and then you have the chance to get to know one another through messaging.
Upgrading
Although there are some free features, this is a pay site; what you can do as a free member doesn't extend much beyond sending winks and nudges to other users. Being able to freely communicate with your match requires an upgrade.
One advantage is that women can signup and use the service at no cost. For men, a one-month membership plan will cost you $19.99, though there are small savings if you're prepared to commit to a longer plan.
Women can initiate conversations with men, but the receiver will need to upgrade before they're able to reply to those messages.
Some other perks you get with a membership include the ability to see who liked you, who viewed your profile and so on. These and other juicy nuggets of information are of course hidden from free users.
Paying users get a priority boost in searches as well so they're more likely to get noticed by other people.
